Playing more golf this year (hopefully) so need some advice on good golf insurance
Anyone recommend a good company as there are so many out there
Thanks I advance Nev

E & L, cheapest I've found, I pay less than £2 per month for the same cover I had with golf care at about £40 a year

can someone who has taken the insurance say what benefit they get over the normal house insurance which I think covers public liability, could be wrong there but can't be @rsed looking through screeds of insurance double talk which was invented by beelzebub himself

Depends whether or not your house insurance cover public liability on a golf course, or the theft of equipment when away from home when in the boot of your car and a number of other factors.

yeah good point- looks like I'll have to wade through it one day- def got cover outside the home for goods and money up to a nominal amount but the liability outside the home I'll look in to

There's a lot of my home insurance policy I'm a bit unsure of (and too bored to read), for the 50p a week my golf insurance cost it's worth the peace of mind; not forgetting of course, on the day that I finally ace one then golf care can cover my bar bill :)

I have a fairly comparative level of cover from our houe insurers , we just added the cost onto the total, I think it was about £30. It covers all what you would expect from a stand alone golf cover and I'm sure if I were to make a claim there would be all the usual wriggle out clauses in it.

Give us all a call when that happens I'll get a taxi.

Read your home insurance very carefully. If you have any doubts, particularly over the third party issue, contact your insurance company for advice.
I have re insured recently with Golf Care.

For those north of the border looking for insurance, I suggest you don't look at Golf Care's 3 free round vouchers as any great incentive, the choice of courses up here is fairly paltry.

Carrick Neil for me and sorted out a claim (damaged driver) very early on in my cover without any problems and no increase in renewal premium

Thanks for the recommendation. Wouldn't have known about them if not for this post, or pure luck on the interweb.
After checking out what other providrers covered I went with this one as they seemed to give more cover for fewer gimmicks (plus covered my teenage son as well).

Interestingly we've just been informed from next subs year we're going the compulsory insurance route for members, works out as less than £20 a year on top of subs, and I expect only covers the liability side but a bit of piece of mind I guess
