Insanity

I gave insanity a go and managed up to day 14. Unfortunately I suffer from shin splints when I run and all the running on the spot left me in agony. I'm hoping to get some trainer fitted to my gait in the near future which will allow me to crack on with Insanity again. I was real sore most days but it made me feel great. I was doing it between 5 and 6 in the morning and was freeing up by 12.
I'm not sure that it's worth the £100 that some of you have probably paid for it though.
It is very hard on joints, I was worried about a dodgy knee I've got, after the initial stiffness I haven't had any problems. I know a lot of people who have packed it in as a result of how high impact it is, saying that I know a hell of a lot more people who packed it in because it was too hard.

It is undoubtedly difficult and I can see how some would pack it in because they lack will power.

I was thinking of doing about 3 sessions a week when I'm done , I'm doing the great north run as well so with the training for that I should be really fit.

Have you done asylum? What's the difference?

Not done it but hear it's a bit tougher than Insanity and a bit different! There is an agility ladder thing and I think weights as well.

Day 5 cardio , easy  , feel fine now it's plyometric cardio that's the killer lol!!!

So far from my experience it's tough , my calves are virtually popping out of my leg , but as Shaun t says it's ok to take a break so if yer knackered just stop and restart when yer back in the zone

Edit for Alex , I'm a 40 year old bloke who drinks too much , and I'm coping , it's only 45 minute work out , and as I said before if im knackered , I just take a break , I havnt stuck to the diet lol cos I love food too much , and I drink water not recovery shakes !
