In an accident with a bread knife on Thursday I severed the tendon in the top of my left index finger.... An hour in surgery on Friday repaired it, but looks like I'll be out for about 6 weeks. Gutted as I was playing well the last 6-8 weeks.

Doctor has said it could potentially mean no golf for 2 months, but I'm in the League to Dubai regional final on 22/23 Sept. Really really really hope I'm fit for then!!

OUCH!

I am sure you will be fine for September, just dont rush back before. You never know the break might make you come back even better

That's one way to protect a handicap...hope it heals quickly.

I remember getting mallet finger and having to wear a plastic splint for 6 weeks on my glove hand...cut the finger off the glove it worked a treat.

I missed 5 weeks earlier this year, all of May, due to tendon damage in left hand. Take all the time off necessary for completely healed recovery or you will suffer further & more time off.
