As I work in an industrial environment swearing and bad language is an extremely common occurrence.
I use it myself on a regular basis. There are some who start a sentence with the f word, throw a few more in midway through and finish with a flurry of f,c & b words.

As previously stated, I can swear like a trooper at work but once in my home environment I like to keep a civil tongue. How come that happens? Is it the male company at work? How come you automatically stop once you get home?

I can just imagine the families faces though over the table if I were to ask the wife to "Pass the f-ing salt" :D

I do have a bit of a foul mouth it must be said. I used to always be with my dad from when I was big enough to walk be it at racing tracks, workshops, scrap dealers yards, car yards, factories etc so I learned all the words, still got a clump if I said them though!

At home though I wont have it, my girl is nearly 4 and she picks up everything.

I work in an industry connected to the building trade and know and regularly use all of the expletives available. I have also been married for 35 years and have never ever used the f word (or worse) in the house.

My son, now 27, only heard me swear for the first time at football when I felt that the referee needed a little advice over some worryingly bad decisions, and he would have been over 18 by then

Work amongst seven women and so have to be very careful. Sadly there is more chance of being picked up and disciplined for a misplaced f word than for a poor sickness or performance record. No wonder the NHS is in a mess and our jobs are threatened. Lunancy

Most of my work experience is office based and I would say the women are the worst.

I personally don’t think it is justifiable in any situation and happily pick people up on its use when in general conversation. I may bite my tongue if the wife lets a few slip whilst in labour in the coming month.

I hate bad language and very rarely use it.
I think the worst I've ever said on a golf course is "bugger" or "damn".
And then I will only use those expressions if I hit a really, really bad shot

Good luck BTW :)

Do you know what, Smiffy.

I think you are being too hard on yourself there. I've never heard you use those words when you've hit a really bad shot, again!

;) ;)

I never heard him use those words on the course but there were a few choice comments when he had to open his wallet and shell out to HTL on a regular basis

Yep. And most of them had "bandit" tacked on the end.

Working in a factory it is very rare that any of us go more than 2 mins without swearing normally at each other. When you have a boss who often says 'have i called you a c*** yet today?' what chance have the rest of us got? tbh i think it is more boredom than anything when we am at work we turn into a bunch of foul mouthed kids but if we all go to the pub after work everyone is a very different normal person.

After 25 years in the Navy you would think you had heard them all but there are still those I won't use, though I am aware that others I find a little too easy to use.

I always tried not to use such language at home. I must have succeeded to some degree at least as I totally shocked my daughter one time when a complete *&^()!***£ nearly wrote us off.

On the course any swearing is directed toward me and the complete horlicks I can make of the simplest shot.
