I was lucky in my old house in that most rooms had a proper aerial socket. New house only has one in the lounge and whilst I do not watch much TV anywhere else I am looking for an indoor TV aerial htat actually works. I have tried a few in the past and eveyone has been pretty awful even if connected to one of those so called booster boxes.

Anyone ever found an indoor aerial that does a reasonable job?

Tried all sorts including some with booster boxes, all near useless, none of them worked any better than a wire coat hanger. Why not buy a Y junction and an extension lead. I ran mine out through the wall up the exterior brickwork and back through the wall into the bedroom.

Useless, none of them work. I tried loads then bit the bullet and got on the roof and fitted an aerial. Luckily I wasn't accompanied by an Emu at the time.

We moved in to our house 4 years ago to rubbish /zero signal from roof aerial. Ended up getting Sky

But i bought a couple of indoor aerials for the bedroom tv - most were crap. BUt i tried this one (well it loks like it but we paid £35 for the best one they had with a gurantee that they woudl take it back if it didnt work for us) and it is really really good - remember i couldnt get a digital signal with teh Argos most expensive gold roof aerial. Now we even get to watch teh really obscure channels in bed !!!

Hmmm. A lot will depend on the strength of your signal in the area. Cheap aerials can work, but if in general your signal is weak, you might be in trouble. I amplify my signal in each room despite internal wiring.

It is possible to buy wireless kit to send AV signals around your house. Not that I fully know this sort of kit, I presume you can put a transmitter in your lounge and attach (via scart?) to a lone TV.

Alternatively, Mick's idea of splitting you main input cable and sending it outside the house in to a top window is good.

On this topic how do I boost the singnal from my current aerial. Got a new aerial struggles to pick up ITV 3-4 and the fiver channels plus a couple more. The ITV bugs me as Champions League game are sometimes on it.

Is there something I can use to boost the signal that dont involve climbing on the roof.

I've been using amplifiers for years. Look up Philex/SLX.

In fact, Philex do wireless AV senders as well.
