So day off today, decided to take myself to Hilton Templepatrick for a round - played of whites at 6764 - Bargain at £24 inc. water and a Bounty.

Leisurely start and decided to day was day for playing within self, nothing fancy just keep ball in play.

At end of 3rd 530 yd par 5, I'm level par. Walk to 4th tee and three guys who were ahead invited me to play through. Its playing 161 yds - Take a 7 and hit it solid & easy... it was on line from off and a couple of bounces from probably inside 10 feet and it was in the hole. Somewhat stunned - guys gave me great reception and a big thanks for their cheers and witness to my first hole on one.

Bought Bounty for sustenance. Milk, I'd prefer my dark choc without adulteration

its a nice hole, course good too green tees at 6200, white at 6700 and blue at just over 7000 yds. Quite few raised undulating usga spec greens with 2-3 distinct areas to hit too. Ponds on 5 holes and river bounding 2-3 others.
