A few weeks back I bought a couple of gadgets from
http://www.improvemygolf.co.uk/
Where you can get all manner of golf training aids.
As some of you will know the site is run by forum member Haplesshacker.
First, just to say I found the site really easy to navigate and I found what I wanted very quickly with good descriptions. Buying was a doddle and you can use paypal.
Service is excellent. Items were received really quickly (2-3 days) but even so I got a little bonus freebie for the very slight delay caused only because Hapless was moving house.
So top marks Hapless (Graham). Thank you very much.
So what did I buy?
Well I've been out of the game for a while for health reasons and have lost a fair bit of strength and I thought it might help build up my swing speed to swing a weighted club. So I bought the following:
Swing Pocket – Neat little weighted pouch that fits over an iron head with a velcro tab. It weighs about 4 ounces so adds a fair bit to the weight of the club. I keep it fitted to an old bladed iron to swing in the garden on a regular basis and it is helping me achieve what I was hoping for. Got a bit more zip in my swing now and hitting it as far as before my layoff. For £6.95 a very good buy. I also use it to warm up before leaving for the course.
Swing Ring – Similar principle, this is a weighted plastic covered ring (about 5 ounces) that simply slips over the shaft and slides down to the head. I keep this in the bag for warming up at the range or on the course. Very simple and effective and at £1.95 a real bargain.
Free gift was 3 ball markers with lines on to help line up putts. Not tried these yet as our greens are still a bit slow and bumpy and lining up is a lottery to be honest but a nice touch to get them. Might try them out on those slick, undulating Blackmoor greens where I’ll need all the help I can get.
