illegal/potentially illegal gadgets and gizmo's?

Spirit level ball markers. Seen them for sale, completely illegal for comps.

Bare in mind though that most of what is listed in this thread is fine for use in practice rounds. For example: a few practice rounds with a range finder which accounts for slope would soon get you the feel for how much distance to add/subtract when using a conforming device.

Had a look at the stinger tee website. Nothing makes any of the range non-conforming so breath a sigh of relief and keep on using them.

The Bionic glove is permitted for those with arthritis of the hand provided that:

(1) he establishes, with the Committee in charge of the competition, that he currently has a medical condition identified on the List that is associated with a particular device, and
(2) the Committee determines that the player would not gain an undue advantage over other players in that competition by using the device.

They are non conforming. They assist you in holding the club properly, and are a training aid.

Hi Murph,

Where did you get that info from? Reason I ask is that my hands are smashed up from years of graft, scrapping and injuries, and I suffer badly with arthritis.

I hit a fat shot 3 weeks ago, on my right hand (no glove) two of my fingers dislocated and I broke the middle knuckle on my middle finger but still manage to play with the help of my friend Ibruprofen lol.

I use the bionic glove but had no idea they were non-conforming.

Cheers

Steve...

How can a tee be illegal?
A tee is a device designed to raise the ball off the ground. A tee must not:
• be longer than 4 inches (101.6 mm);
• be designed or manufactured in such a way that it could indicate line of play;
• unduly influence the movement of the ball; or
• otherwise assist the player in making a stroke or in his play.

I've been told these are not legal for comps because they could be used as an alignment aid.

Oh dear... i use them in the winter!
I am always careful to put the unused cones to the side so that they are not used for lining up.

I did ask my pro a few years back were they ok and he said yes....
