If you could..

The right answer is Augusta, but....... I would live to play Pebble!

Augusta is not fair on us because its ace up the sleeve is the exclusivity. Question should've been any but Augusta.

Or the question could be why are so many choosing Augusta over the likes of Pine Valley or Cypress Point, both of which always outrank Augusta in the top 100 lists?

Because, with enough money, PV and CP would be achievable.
Augusta would be a whole different story.

I think pine valley is pretty exclusive, you can't just pitch up with a green fee.

I'm not fussed about Augusta, the greens would be good, but tee to green, without the crowds, it's just a big field.

I'd choose a decent links, on the open rota, on a crisp autumn day with a gentle breeze. That would do me.

You've got more chance of getting onto Augusta than Pine Valley or Cypress Point.

I really wanna play Lytham from the rota, to tick off another top 100 and because I was a spectator there. Would be special on a personal note.

If someone offered you one or the other you would choose the links? I wouldn't be able to sleep the night before playing Augusta, would sleep like a baby the night before an open links, and would really love to play an open links.

Could take or leave Augusta. All that trimming the grass around the bunkers with scissors leaves me cold.

If Disney did golf courses they would look like Augusta. I'd expect to be met at the gates by mickey and Donald.

I could go fancourt links if I had to go foreign.

For the whole weekend, I'd want 72 holes...but I can't decide if it would be Pebble Beach, Riviera or Harbour Town.

Pebble becaus it is the scene of what is in my opinion the single greatest display of golf ever witnessed.
The other two because the pros seem to wax lyrical about them so there must be something in it.

Not Augusta because the OP said "exclusive" and it sounds like most of the forum would be there :D

I've not played abroad yet, unless you count Wales, so I'd be happy to go to Scotland and play the Old Course and some others up their that have a wealth of history attached to them, the sun and perfect golfing conditions is so overrated :smirk:

As Augusta is so popular, as anybody ever been to watch as a spectator? I know one person that has been and he said it was awesome.

I'd love to go back to Royal Dornoch, Magical place!

Here's a couple of Forummers teeing it up there last summer.
Who needs Pebble beach? ;)

I have lowly expectations!

Whilst I have watched The Masters on the TV, and I would love to play the course, for me, growing up not far from Woburn (Parents are still local) I will play there before I retire, as thats the one on my list.
