Fowler tried to score the penalty once it had been given , he said he had to act professionally and didn’t give Seaman the direction or try to miss it.

I didn’t miss the penalty on purpose, it was just a bad penalty

Maybe I'm Wrong then happy to admit it of I am, but I do remember seeing something with both him and Seaman saying he'd made home aware of where he was putting it. Oh well not that important in grand scheme of things

It might not have been Fowler but there are plenty of examples on YouTube where people miss on purpose or pass to the keeper.

One thing a lot (not all) have in common is that the penalty wouldn’t have made a difference to the outcome of the game.

I know from my team that a player had admitted to a handball and had given away a penalty when we won the league already. I am not sure he would have done it if the points were still important.
