Money List Winner
Evening all,
I went and did it again and commited the cardinal sin of trying someone elses clubs......Why oh why ..
I played with my Daa yesterday and the round was gone to pot after the 11th so i decided as the course was quite to try a few things as i was out of the picture and looking at 0.1 back.
He recently changed to Ping i15 irons.Standard loft and lie.
Now as i have only changed a few months ago to Ping i10's i made a promise to myself that no matter what the outcome that i was going to finish the season with them and then see what happens. That was until i played a few shots with the i15's.
I couldn't really pass on the i10's as i was getting them at a bargain 200 euro and seeing as i was about to pull the trigger on the i15's anyway it seemed like it was a win win for me...
These have stiff shafts and standard loft and lie and for the most part i hit them well..Always have the occasional wayward one but thats a swing issue with me and not the gear.
What got me even contemplating hitting the i15's was that they have Regular AWT shafts and my i10's are stiff AWT's.
Originally when i got fitted for the i15's i was told that a stiff shaft would be a better fit in the irons as i was between a stiff and a regular..I carry my 7 iron 135-140 mtrs and my driver swing speed stays roughly around the 105 mph.
The outcome.
I seemed to hit the i15's about 10 yards longer but the dispersion was about equal...They just felt nicer to hit for some reason.
Could this be shaft related or was it just operater error?
If its of any use my woods and hybrid are all stiff Ping shafts but i get on well with either...I just seemed to hit the stiffer shafts in the woods straighter.
If i keep wanting to change equipment ill NEVER progress.
And in not even going to go near my younger brothers G15.
Ill end up rightly messed up.
