Played yesterday in our midweek scratch medal, usually a 3-4 over gross wins the prizes which i know i am capable of scoring and i have been playing well recently, all recent rounds have been in and around handicap (7)
Anyway tee off yesterday and manage to make the turn at +1 gross which is a personal best with 2 birdies and 3 bogeys so was pretty pleased, then i reached the 10th, a hard hole but easily bogeyable.... block the tee shot out straight right OOB take a 7. Next hole make a solid par and i feel like its back on track... 12th is a narrow drive (because our club thinks that an overhanging tree over the fairway is a great idea), nail the drive straight at the top of the tree to try and get over and i clatter into into... lost ball get away with a 6. After that i make every single green in reg but 3putt 4/6 holes to finish +10 and feeling rather depressed.
Now i know how it feels to bottle a round after a good start i guess!
Most annoying thing about it is that i can't wait to get out on the course on saturday for my matchplay quarter final.... stupid game !
