I did not know you could get an infraction

I used a word last night deemed innapropriate but did not use the full word but used * in place of letters so my question IS, is this not presumption of what that letter is and not fair in said presumption ?

3 Posts that contain swearing. I feel this also includes the use of asterisked out swear words. I think everyone on here is smart enough to be able to find non offensive ways of expressing themselves without having to resort to swearing and offending any other former.

Other forums I have visited use a censored 'smiley'... Which seems a little better than using asterisks or dollars...

Agreed. There is general cursing and then there is bad language, whether it is cloaked by smileys, asterisks or stars people know what you mean.

I have been guilty in the past until my 5 year old daughter (who is learning to read by spelling words out loud) was sitting at my computer and started spelling out a massively inappropriate word. Never again
