I bought today.....

Had a bit of a shuffle around and decided to drop my 5i out of the bag, wasnt sure whether to add a 5 hybrid as a direct replacement for the 5i or add in a 5 wood and loft up all my hybrids, so I went with the latter -

And I bought a Ping G400 SFT 3 wood (which looks brand new!) to turn up to 17 degrees and play as a 5 wood, and jacked up all my hybrids 1.5 degrees to gap correctly;
4 hybrid plays as a 5i (23.5*)
3 hybrid plays as a 4i (20.5*)
G400 3 wood plays as a 5 wood (17*)

*just realised ping adapters only go to 1.5* either way, and the g400 only 1* :p so, I don't think 0.5 degree is going to cause too much damage.. lofts adjusted*

After a recommendation on here and wanting to up my game this year. I went and bought ShotScope Connex, got it for a steal as AG had them on sale for £69.99, less my 10% discount I get and a £30 voucher from Christmas I paid the princely sum of £32.99. Didn’t wanna shell out for Arcoss purely because the annual subscription and having to buy new sensors when batteries go. Think this will do me nicely and gives me something to play with.

Also bought 2 metal Titleist cooler water bottles. One for me and the other for Mrs M they’ll go nicely with our bags ☺️

I like everything about ShotScope - tags, app, watch, online system etc and just swapped them over to my new clubs. I am forever changing and it's dead easy. Still on the old black ones, although I have the grey ones, but can't get them to recognise with my watch, but the oldies are fine.

All my bags have dual water bottle holders, so I have two colours (one black, one white), which I use as hot/cold, or sometimes juice/water. If the wife wants one (or two), she can get her own 😁

A Vice golf glove and Shag bag. Turned up at the club today and upon getting my glove out of my saw it was battered and no good. The club only sells Vice balls and accessories, so tried on the gloves they had and I may have found the golden egg I was looking for.

I have stupidly small hands, well fingers but wide palms so even small gloves Don’t always fit well well and a ladies glove is to small. Tried on their cadet fit designed for dwarves like me and it was perfect and really comfortable. I didn’t need the shag bag as I already have one but I liked it and I have so many golf balls I can use this one to separate the good from the bad.

I picked up a pair of new white FJ traditions a few weeks ago on sale down to £75 scottsdale golf.

And who knows when they’ll make it onto feet thanks to the lovely scottish weather.

Some golf grip tape from AdoreGolfGrips as the stuff I got from AliExpress is garbage. Win some, lose some.
These arrived the other day, got 50 pre-cut pieces for £10 I think. Was cheaper through their eBay shop as delivery was free while on their website it wanted to charge me for delivery. They are slightly wider and about an inch longer than the AliExpress ones.

On a positive note, I did hit my 54 wedge a couple of times at the weekend and the grip did stay on the club. Still, going to need to take it off and replace that crap tape with this one.

well.........................................?
we had an argument

and then made up

I've played with it twice now and some of our greens are in that spring stage where they don't know if they want to be bristly and slightly stubbly or whether they are going to be less cantankerous. They're not in a state that allows you to be confident and it seemingly takes a bit of getting used to pace wise....I'm finding I am leaving a lot of long putts well short in the early holes leading to 3-putts but as the round progresses I'm knocking them stiff from all over the place. 3-6 footers...its like I'm Luke Littler throwing darts.

So early days...but I've found out on the practice green, which at the moment is a lot more even tempered, the putter pretty much aims itself and its up to me to put a good swing on it...and the best swings i'm finding are dead armed affairs, unlike previous putters where I've always had a little bit of a handsy stroke.

Definitely still on honeymoon learning each others kinks. :ROFLMAO:
