I am back on track.

I could contemplate a move because much as I enjoy playing at Wybo, which is after all on my doorstep, it is a bit flat. I can find myself at a severe disadvantage playing hilly courses where a flat lie is a rarity.

The economics and accessibility still have to be right.

Dodger, you are correct.

I couldn't be a member of any course with new greens (except The Grove, where they have spent massive amounts of wonga). All the clubs round here who have gone the USGA route, RA, Harewood downs, Northwood, Stockley Park (to name a few), have very slow greens, and in my view won't really be any good for about 20 years.

I like playing Royston, but only as a sometime thing - it's too ** knackering to do it on a permanent basis!

The set up isn't great there either with the clubhouse and proshop miles (sic) from the course.

I thought about Beadlow Manor, two 18's but it had woeful bunkers last time I was there, no sand just mud.
