Hybrids again

Here's my problem. Although I'm happy with my Titleist 585 hybrid and generally hit it well, it does fly a bit low. Even in 24 degree loft it doesn't carry as far as I would like. I like to cover my 3 and 4 irons with one hybrid so something around 23/24 does the job.
So I need a slightly higher ball flight and here comes the issue. Most hybrids I've tried in the higher lofts have a definite draw bias to them, even when they arn't officially "draw" bias clubs. Example is the G10. I had a 24 degree and most of the time I was at least drawing it, sometimes "long" drawing it and occasionally "BIG" drawing it!
Moved to the Titleist as it has less (hardly any) offset so giving a straighter shot but the trade off in the neutral flight is a lower flight.
I'm finding I can't go for a green with the 585 as it doesn't carry enough and rolls out too far. Sometimes this is good - into the wind for example - but sometimes its not.
So what I'm looking for is a 23/24 hybrid that launches higher - but not too high - but doesn't have a tendancy to draw.
Am I asking too much? Does such a beast exist?

I've got a mate who uses one of these to devastating effect for just the shot you are describing.

I carry 2 hybrids. A 19 deg and a 22 deg. Both TM R7 CGB Max's. Really sweet clubs.

The 19 has a more penetrating flight as you describe above with a very slight draw on it. The 22 flies higher and lands a lot softer. Again it has a slight draw on it. Maybe only 5 yards.

I tend to use the 22 deg from about 190-200 yards out and it seems to drop and stop ok. Providing I haven't topped the bugger again

I've got to say when I do strike it well it's my absolute favorite shot. Sometimes I just stand there and watch the flight thinking that's real nice.

I've only got 1 hybrid, a 19 degree. I'd never used one before and was surprised how high it flies (if I ever hit one right), probably about as high as my 5 iron.

Doesn't the shaft have more effect on ball flight than the head?

Up to a point yes. But the position of the centre of gravity is going to determine a lot of the launch charactaristics. My 585 has a VS Proto regular shaft - it is a low-mid launch shaft but as I say, when i use higher launching shafts they tend to draw too much. I also have a Callaway Ft Neutral 24 with the Fujikura shaft. Nice high flight but a tendancy to draw.
I like the 7 wood idea but that might go a bit far. Could I possibly stoop to the realms of a 9 wood?

I love the penetrating flight of my 21 degree 585. R300 steel shaft too. Not into this high flighted stuff.

Yes, if you want towering shots, a 7 wood is Ace!

I have a 9 wood which I use now and again for fun. Lofted like a 4 iron, distance like a 4-5 iron, high, high, HIGH if you hit it good.

Due to the lack of a driver being in the bag at the moment, I carry two 24 degree clubs. One is my standard 4 iron and the other is a very cheap 7 wood. I tend to use them for different things. But the 7 wood is great on longer par 3s, where, if I hit it correctly, it lands nice and softly with little run off.

I thought that hybrids were supossed to do this, but I must admit that I struggle to get the height with them.

I have to say my TM Burner rescue gives a great ball flight and I can easily manufacturer shots with it and find it particularly easy to draw it (controlled). Its a 3 hybrid (19 degrees) and I can hit it between 180 and 200 (downwind). I think you may need to shop around a bit more and decide if you want to sacrifice a bit of length for a higher flight
