I'm taking the plunge into the world of hybrids given their alleged ease of use. I've always been consistent with my 4 iron off the deck but not my 3 iron so I've opted to replace that. It should also be slightly longer than a 3 iron if I'm correct?

Any tips on using a hybrid given that I've never used one before? What's the worst lie you would consider using one?

I have used a 4iron Hybrid replacement and have tried Adams, TM and Wilson Staff

The best all rounder has been the TM burner rescue no. 4

You must play them like an iron i.e downwards strike like an iron

I would tend to use an iron out of trouble as the hybrid is good but not that good in my opinion more for just off the fairway type shots.

100% agree with the post above regarding hitting it like an iron rather than a fairway wood. I have been using one for a long time now and I will hit it pretty much from any lie, anywhere within reason. Even if I am in the rough needing a long shot, unless it is properly buried, I use the rescue as even if it does not come out properly it still goes well and gets down the fairway.
