I am all set to get fitted for my new irons in a couple of weeks time. I would like to go with 6I-PW and have a hybrid replace my 5I. I have never hit it well and am loving the new Adams Tight Lies 2 3H & 4H that I have in the bag. I am wondering what the best way to bridge the gap between 4H and 6I. Is it a 5H or a 6H? Should I have the shaft cut down? Can Hybrids be bent to change lofts? (I would like another Tight Lies 2 which are non adjustable). I look forward to hearing peoples thoughts.

I use a G30 26 degree as 5i substitute, not too big a head, sits nicely at address and for me is a much more forgiving and a better option than my 5i, which I have taken out the bag, but still occasionally try to use on some course I play near by me.

I get the odd comments about the number of Hybrids I carry but, I dropped my ego this year and have tried to focus more what works for my swing and a 19, 22 and 26 Hybrid work so much better than a 3i, 4i 5i combo

It's a god idea, just go with what the fitter suggests based on distances. I want to do the same with my next set but I can't justify golf purchases atm
