Huge huge HUGE!

I have the latest Trackman readout here which cleary shows that a 220 yard fence, 18 metres high, into a breeze, with 90% high spin range balls = HUGE:

There's a few on here who would be clearing that fence with a 3wood so its no biggy.

You can tell that all the way from Norwich?

If it's as high as you say it is...I should be able to tell from Derby.

Lucky for most of us that golf courses don't tend to have an 18 metre high wall just in front of the green really.

We'd all be stuffed.

North Berwick has a 4ft high wall on 14?, but I guess that is put there for us mortals to pitch over.

In case anyone is interested, I played yesterday and hit my lob wedge over a small tree. It must have gone all of 50 yds.
Thank you

18 metres is 59 feet. That's some wall for the end of a driving range.

I use that driving range every week, I'm pretty sure it's not as high as that. As 18m is fecking big. It's pretty high, but no higher than any other fence at the end of any other driving range.

Planning consent approved for 18m fence

"Evans Jones LLP acting on behalf of Brickhampton Court Golf Complex sought consent for the installation of 120 linear metres of replacement catch fencing around part of the perimeter of the existing driving range. The new fencing raises the height of existing catch fencing from 12 to 18 metres."

So that's proof of the size of the fence Timmy, commendable. If only it was as easy to get you to prove the distance of your tee shots.

For every tee shot that hits the back fence - how many do you slice/hook wildly?

I couldnt decide whether you were for real or just a wind up merchant...

until this post.

Think someone is blowing thier own trumpet a bit.

Not heard anything that I would consider HUGE yet, even the fabricated 330's you've been knocking 270.

Must try harder. A lot harder.

We've got a tree on our 3rd that is about 220 from the tee and the hole doglegs to the left around it. It's a massive , HUGE old oak tree and must be at least 70-80 foot high. I clear that with no probs and end up a measured 270-280 with my 3wood........BIG DEAL ,who cares except me cos I need to know thats how far I hit it :D :D

At least he puts some effort in, that diagram is down right funny!. Well done timmytime! Looks like a good few forumers are getting riled too!

I'm looking forward to our game even more now. Great to watch someone that can play this glorious game. On a course that is... no 18 metre fences in front of greens at my gaff :D

Can't believe that this thread has got to 4 pages!!

Timmy - plenty of opportunities coming up for you to get to a forum meet and amaze us with your hitting. Have played with plenty of guys - JustOne, Robobum, Snelly and RickG to name four - who really put the ball out there on a regular basis; would be interested to see how you compare.
