Is this aimed at me?

NO not fitted yet. Still with the Ping G15 9deg, with Grafalloy Prolaunch Red. I changed the technique slightly today, going with a much wider stance than normal so as to shallow the clubhead path. Set the tee off my left toe then just let rip. The initial attempts were poor contacts, but after a while it began to groove into a repeatable contact.

Still talking fluent bo***ks Timmy. Not sure many really care on here as we prefer the challenge of getting the ball in the hole on a proper course with all the trials and tribualtions that brings. That is a game called golf. Try it one day

Clearly TimmyheadinthecloudsGolfy is just trying to provoke/wind us all now, so I suggest we just keep walking on by when he posts on whatever.....
In fact.......
Tim,....meet 'IgnoreKey'
Ignorekey......meet Tim.

Simples.

So with a 9deg driver fitted with Pings lowest launching shaft you can clear a 60ft fence over 250 yards away?
That is awesome

I had the G10 with that shaft, and i couldn't clear the heather in front of the tee. ;)

Mind you i am old and feeble and living on borrowed time. :(

Surely the simple way to solve all the arguments if he is telling us pork pies or genuinely can hit it further than most tour pro's is to get GM do to a small article on it.

Get GM to send someone to his local range and do a little interview on how he has gained X amount of yards in such a short space of time and get them to record his actual stats from a flightscope machine and print them in the mag for all of us to see.

I'm sure Tim would be up for it as it he seems to like everyone to know how far he hits it and if it was in the mag even more people would know and it would put a end to all this.

So Tim would you genuinely be up for it if GM could sort this out?

Why would GM care? More to the point, it would only have been interesting in a 'can the average golfer improve his swing speed in a week' way if we could have had a before and after. Clearly all we have now is the after.

I find it interesting that he has managed to increase his swing speed by such an increment, when in my experience this is one of the hardest things to do. I think you have a natural rhythm, and breaking it is hard. If I trty to swing faster, something else breaks down, resulting in less, not more club head speed.

Whether this will lead to the h/cap Tim requires is a different point all together.
