Huge huge HUGE!

Just thought I would share with you my delight at achieving an ambition of mine. The range I use (Brickhampton) has a very high fence at the back line at 220 yards, and has 90% balls which are roughly correct up to mid irons, but way shorter for the long drives compared to normal balls.

Today, into a breeze, I hit balls over that fence. Not just a fluke one or two, but about half a dozen, and most reasonably accurate too. I saw one ball land on the other side on about 250 and roll to about 270. Difficult to say what the distance with real balls would be, but considering the breeze I would estimate well over 330 yards.

Mission accomplished. Now to work on accuracy and consistency.

What do you mean by straight? I love hitting mid irons straight, but I love hitting the driver long. If it's just off the fairway the so be it, as long as the next shot is not compromised.
