It looks like the thaw has set in (it did today anyway).

How's your course? Is it looking good for a game yet?

Mines still closed, still has a fair, if thin, covering of wet snow. A few more good thawing days may find it playable but conditions will be very, very wet.

My Wife's got a warped sense of humour. We're off between Christmas and New Year and we've not got a whole lot of stuff lined up. My course is closed.

What does she say?

Why don't you play golf this week?

WOMEN! :D

st.andrews is having an inspection tomorrow ,but i think thursday or friday sounds more realistic..grounds still very hard and the rain has helped clear the snow ,but it`s just sitting there and not draining away but it`s nice to see grass again and the range has stayed open all threw the bad weather which has been a blessing. gcd :)

Popped up to check out mine, greens very water logged few fairways with slight snow covering, should be playable by weds/thurs. For the money I've paid I would of liked to have seen a bit more action in getting course ready. Getting rid of surface water on the greens would surely speed up drainage etc.

Big thaw here, couple of days of plus temperatures coupled with a bit of drizzle has cleared the snow out of Grantham. Going up to look at the course tomorrow and chat with the pro as looking for a round on Thursday.

How's your course looking?

No idea. For all I know it might have been dug up and replaced with 3,000 houses since the last time I saw it :(

Our course should be open this morning for 9 holes, I wont get playing as got visitors arriving lunchtime. Dont mind really the 9 holes will be on temp greens......

Played yesterday (Tuesday) - can't believe how well the course is looking given it's been under snow & ice for days. No temporary greens, tee mats on par 3s only, minimal casual water. Big thanks to Barton-on-Sea greenkeepers!

Not a clue and dont intend finding out for quite a while yet. Been really enjoying not playing for 6 weeks and certainly havnt been itching to get out there.

The bug will come back soon though (I hope)

Still white but slowly thawing...think we'll be open by Friday

Think again, just spoke to Paul and not a chance of Friday. It isn't moving, the only green bit he can see is a tiny bit on the mounds on 9 and it is still lying 4 inch deep.

Pub golf on Saturday though.... ;)

Well it was open yesterday although I didn't play, been staying at girliefriends and she us about 10 miles from my course. Yesterday her carpark was covered in snow, today nothing. So looking forward to tomorrows game, haven't played since first week Of November :(
