Once more... i am looking for advice of you intelligent lot ;)
As a young avid golfer, a career in golf seems like it would be perfect! I really enjoy physical work and if it involves golf, even better!
I have been looking at specifically caddying and working in a tour van doing adjustments and changes. I have also been looking at the more realistic choice of greenkeeping :)
Does anybody have any inside info on how i would go about getting into jobs such as caddying and in the tour van??

When i get to UK i will hopefully be able to get a sunday/evening job in which i will work at the course and help out, if possible.
Do you think it would be a good idea to send an email now, explain a bit about myself and inquire slightly about a possibility of a job??
Many Thanks! :D

Lower handciap for what!?
Clearly i am not going to be trying to get this job in the next few months, I have 2 years of college first!
I was just looking for advice of how to 'get my foot in the door'

Best thing to do is get yourself as much work experience as possible, which you'll have to do for free. Get in touch with as many clubs/professionals as you can and get your name known. That way when an opportunity comes up you'll have a chance at it. Phoning is always better than e-mail as an e-mail can be ignored. Probably better to e-mail then follow it up with a call. You'll have to be determined too as i imagine there'll be quite significant competition.

Be prepared to be rejected more than anything, and don't let it get you down
