How much snow?

Still nowt here as yet today and where the snow has melted the paths and roofs it is now dry. Though if the forcast is correct there should be snow falling in the next few hours and for it to get worse through the night into Monday.
 
It's getting quite exciting in Birmingham but I'm not going to guess the depth... It's chucking it down as I type though!!!

We had about 5 inches on Friday but it had started to melt away until today. It hasn't stopped lightly snowing all day and we now have another 1 1/2 inches :mad:
 
I'm so looking forward to driving to Manchester tomorrow morning for 3 days of appraisals... trudging the streets for a restaurant/pub on an evening... I hate winter

We're the intelligent animal and the birds fly south for winter... go figure
 
Not looking forward to the drive to work in the morning... Especially as neither of the bosses will bother... They'll just "work from home" whatever that means... None of the kit in the unit can be remotely operated...

Feels a bit colder than it is due to the wind but we havent had a drop of the white stuff in fact it hasnt rained either for a couple of days.

As good as it gets for this time of year to be honest
 
The "big thaw" has started. The sun (remember that big yellow thing in the sky?) has been out down here for the last couple of hours and my neighbours roof, which was completely covered this morning, is now snow free. I reckon we've lost about 3/4 inch today so if we continue like that all week, the course will only have about 2 inches on it come Saturday which is...er....still rubbish but it's an improvement right? :D
 
30 miles North and we've as much chance of seeing the Sun today as Homer has of not buying some new shoes this month....
Still -1, snow's going to be around all week and into next....
Starting to forget what my clubs look like.....

Just looked out of the window in Newbury and burnt my retinas! sun is shining nicely in Newbury! its on its way to you Imurg!
 
Can't get on the course, driving ranges are closed or at least I would expect them to be, so I've cut down a broom shank short enough to allow me a full swing in the house without gouging the ceiling. May not be able to hit a ball, but at least I can try to groove my technique
 
Still none here. Pissing it down with freezing cold rain though. Last night we had an early frost, then at about 8 it clouded over and rains on the frosty ground. Cloud then clears away so the temp can drop below freezing and the rain freezes solid in about 10 minutes. Got some good photos of the ice over the car roof and windows now I have to get them onto the computer and upload a couple.
 
Went to the range today as still some balls in the machine. It was lovely and quiet and kind of surreal as the blanket of snow never mind the freezing fog gave the light and sound an eerie-ness (made up word)! I was quite enjoying it until my right foot slipped on the icy mat and briefly I resembled Bambi and I'm not as supple as he (she?) was!

Walked Max and still lots of proper deep snow on the ground in the fields. No golf until the weekend at the earliest as set to thaw on Saturday but will then be very wet.

I was planning on going tomorrow, but it's still snowing here and hard. I'm so glad I spent two hours digging ice and snow off of my road yesterday so I could get to work today. Looks like I might be doing it again tomorrow :mad:
