How many stitches have you had?

About half a dozen in me ankle for ligament reattachment and a couple in me sack. One each side. ( micro surgery ) 😖

Maybe 20 or 30

One massive hole in my left knee after a royal naval surgeon buchered me performing a routing job in a sea state 7.

Plenty on my face and around my eyes from scrapping in my yoof. This includes a rather memorable scran in my eyelid, from when a nice young gent tried to take my head of my shoulders with a steel barstool.

Lots around my left ear after it was literally kicked half of my head during a game of Rugby league. I say ripped off... There was still some skin keeping it from falling off into the mud.

Every cloud and all that

When 6'ish I had a few in my head after falling off the close washhouse wall on a couple of occasions - headbutting bricks in the ground on touchdown. None since until two weeks ago when I had three stitches put in after having a wisdom tooth and a molar extracted.

A fair few. 18 in my bell-end being a particular highlight.

I tend to superglue myself, the dogs and children rather than take them to be stitched when the need arises. Works very well, is immediate and is why the substance was originally invented.

Three in my leg when, aged about 5, I fell on a glass garden cloche.

Quite an impressive scar on my left thumb from about the same age. I discovered my dad's very sharp garden pruning knife was good for whittling sticks. Can't remember any stitches though.

My lad split his cheek, took him to the hospital... Fattest fingered nurse ever proceeded to superglue his eye shut!! Will DIY next time!!

And it was for wartime medic use wasn't it?? Was it Vietnam or before??

Vietnam I think...

Ouchie!! hanging so low the lawnmower caught it?

I don't think superglue is exactly the same ingredients as skin glue, in fact I think it can rot skin/bone.

My son had a string of accidents as a nipper and the hospital actually gave us 3 tubes of skin glue to save us/them the hassle.

a few over the years,
iirc the 1st 1s were when i decided to put a garden fork through my foot.

a few in an eye lid when i fell off my bike.

quite a few in the 7 arthroscopes ive had,and just getting over the 5th on my right knee.

7 in my right hand after i tried to cut my thumb off with a brand new saw.

and a head wound that was glued.

think thats it?

I forgot about the couple in my ball bag. 4 kids is enough for anyone!!

Can remember when he cut through the first tube, it felt like I was kicked in the stomach. The pain was immense, about 20 secs later I realised he had to cut the other tube. God was I sweating.

Couple hundred in total due to RTA -plastic surgery/facial and head/plates put in/pins in shoulders & knee+ankle.Elbows stiched up after bursitis/burst knees from footie/+ couple in the goolies after snip/couple in chest after collapsed lung with broken ribs...Just a normal life I seem to lead!

Jimbo;):o:cool:

6 inside the mouth from an opponents hockey stick and 8 in between the webbing on my little finger when it got ripped by a cricket ball I was trying to catch at Silly Mid Off.

My calculator doesn't have enough digits, honestly far too many to guess and add up, It'll be right up in the high hundreds, in fact, I don't think I have a single limb that doesn't have a decent scar, both feet, both legs, both arms & hands, body, head, face and even an emergency circumcision, now that was painful
