For me its not the money, it's largely down to time. I play at weekends and our pro is only there on Saturday and doesnt normally have any slots available, theyre all during the week, so unless I have the day off and fancy a lesson I wouldnt buy one.
If there was more availability on a Saturday afternoon I'd be more inclined though, for sure.
ive only ever had one and we never really got past the grip part afair. i would like to swing the club in the traditional manner but ive been progressing well this last two years so i dont want to go back to the drawing board and get a whole new swing. at the min i just work with what i have. the lesson did open my eyes to what affect the different grips will have on shots. he asked me to have a stronger grip which i am only really coming round to on the driver. i hit my short irons sweet as a nut the way i naturaly hold it so i wont change that!
I guess I might increase the frequency but then it all depends on practice time between them and not getting overloaded with information and changes....
I'd probably have 2 a week at the moment. I just hit the ball better during lessons, and seem a bit more sure of what I am doing, and more focused. With better practice, I'd improve faster.
First thought, lots. I always seem to hit the ball better after a lesson.
Second thought, depends how long the lesson was.
Third thought, interesting idea. Why don't pro's do £5 or £10 quick fix lessons of say 10 or 15 mins a time? Could be a good way to check a few basics (grip, alignment, etc) or maybe take a look at a putting stroke that has become a bit unreliable.
I used to think that, but now that video is involved, lessons just take longer. I had my latest last night, and the hour just flew by. Not sure 15 minutes would have got me very far.
