how long is your course?

Yellow tees 6220 par70
White tees 6402 par 71
SSS on both is same as par, CSS this year has been a shot or two above.

I better stick down yards so as not to confuse the issue...

Off the blues.....6600 yards
Off the whites......6357 yards
off the yellows.......5890 yards

6855 par 72 off white SSS 73
6668 par 72 off blue SSS 72

I'm now a bit confused about tee colours. I always thought that blue tees were the forward tees for ladies/juniors but Kid2's blue tees are the furthest back on his course and Jack991's blue tees are the mens' forward tees.

There doesn't seem to be any set colour for extra tees I have seen blue and played blue tees set as the tips the same as kid but at my course they are the reduced course tees for the junior juniors, and at a previous club they were ladies comp tees! Confused me too :)

I guess all courses will differ fella's.....
Our blues are rarely used unless its a championship in which case those players will play the course at its full length...
On club medals the whites are usually moved back to within a few yards of the blues and couple that with flags moved to the rear 1/4's of some greens its plays really long...Especially when its windy.....
I can be a case of hitting driver on all the Par 4's and 5's which can make it tough.....

Our red tee's are the Ladies tee's and they play..... 5343 yards....

Blue's are Par 72 some Medal's and championship Competitions...

White's are Medal and Stableford comps Par 71

Yellow's are Society Tee's... Par 69

And the reds as iv said above are the Ladies.... Par 71

9 X 4's
4 X 5's
5 X 3's

6222 off the whites (par 70 SSS 70)
6020 off the yellows (par 70 SSS 69)

They have moved a couple of tees back and plan to move a couple more so the it will be slighly longer than the above.
There two par 5's aren't super long (around 500).

Too long for me is East Sussex National off the Golds. (East 7081 and West 7154). I've played both off the golds a few times mainly after the tour events and they were both beasts. Both are par 72 and also include a very short par 3 (apparently the designers signature). (149 East and 133 West)

Just had a quick look at CONGU recommendations:

Going from longest configuration:

Black (championship)
White
Yellow
Red
Green/blue (forward tees)

Whites = 6662 yards, par 72, SSS 72.

Sounds longish but there's a real mix of holes; four short par 4s between 284 and 318, one par 4 at 478.
Four par 5s from 515 to 582.

Ladbrook Park is 6502 Par 71 SSS 72 (this year CSS has been 73-75).

3 Par 5s
11 Par 4s
4 Par 3s.

Good players only take driver on maximum 9 or 10 holes due to the brook club is named after so the course can play longer than implied by the yardage. Look out for fuller description in upcoming GM (hidden gem description).

Darth not getting at you in particular but I'm amazed how many responses haven't put the course name. I know the original question was to try to gauge what length is normal for the par etc but without the name this just seems a bit like a list of numbers to me.

luv Scadge - timbuktoo golf course 9324 yards par 79 sss 84.

Good point, I didn't as it wasn't asked.
Mine is PGA Centenary course at Gleneagles. It's SSS is 74 from the whites as we don't play blues that often as too long a slog especially in these wet wet wet conditions
