Hi all, after seeing Chris Hoy's performances(and the rest of that fab team)how long do you think it would take him to get round a course either on a pedal trolley or on foot??? Anybody fancy giving him a race?
Reminds me of a dream I had (honest) one winter on a golf break weekend where weather and golf were uninspiring and the beds too hard for a decent sleep. I dreamed I was tied on a trolley (luge style) and had to negotiate the course's steepest paths. dont think I would have beaten Hoy, but it was very scary at the time. (And also gave my companions a good laugh over breakfast).
Seriously if it was on foot we'd all probably beat him. I sometimes blether with Craig Maclean who won silver in Sydney 2000 with Hoy and Queally in the team sprint. We were neighbours as kids. Honestly their quads and glutes are so big they do sometimes have trouble walking on the flat normally and they certainly can't run fast, different muscles being used.
If it was on anything with pedals however we'd be annihilated.
