How fast can you play?

I sometimes go out at first light and play 18 on my own, on our longer course (6700 yds) it usually takes about 2:20 or longer if i hit a few practice shots here and there.

Is under 2 hours possible ? would i need to jog ..lol

I played the back 9 at my course one evening this summer, completely clear run and I got round in 44 minutes and shot 1 under so yes, sub 2 hours is very possible :thup:

I'm a quick rhythm player - walk up to the ball , check distance , pick club , quick practise swing then hit the ball.

Round timings will always be variable

If you are on your own and walked a reasonable pace then 2hrs is easily doable. I often do 9 before work and it takes me 50 mins :thup:

I can play on my own in under three hours with ease. That is perfect for me. Why would I want to go faster and not enjoy being out there

I can do 9 on our shorter course in under an hour, I reckon if I just did a ready, aim, fire I could go quicker

How much under three hours ?

A one ball really shouldn't be any longer that 2 and half hours playing normally and not practising etc

Yeh 2:30 mark is a nice pace for me, I might give it a go and see what time I can set though, just for fun....

I often get out in the lighter mornings early and can get around comfortably 2hrs 15, quickest I've done is 1hr 40.

What does amaze me when I play is how slowly some golfers walk between shots. I like to be sociable and have a chat whilst walking, but it should be a brisk walk, not a funeral procession.:rant:

Why?
I don't play as often as most of you guys so I like to walk slowly & take it all in, as long as I let faster players through, I just can't see the problem with that, particularly as my mates are like-minded.

I used to do under 2 hours on a Championship [yes a real one] course quite regularly in my youth.
Played a two ball in 2 hours 15/20 mins a couple of years ago.[not in my youth]
