get the ball to fizz through the air like the guys at Augusta are doing? Is it because of the ball speed? My friend is looking to become pro and has been on some pro-am events but whenever i play with him, it never fizzes like that and he hits the ball 175mph and i am told pros hit it roughly 180mph (correct me if i am wrong)

What does your friend play off?

I get that fizzing sound now and then but thats if i pure it taking a nice divot and right out the middle..........very rarely though

Well at the home course it is 5 but that is because he is hardly ever here to play. He is mostly at the college where he is doing the intensive golf training and schooling etc. When I have played with him, he has been round in 72, 71, 70, 75 and another 72. Par being 73

Hit the ball hard with a descending blow, play a ball that is going to spin, employ a decent sound man to point his microphone at your ball from 6 feet away, turn the volume up.

An easy option is to buy some crumby Maxfli balls like the ones I have. They have a thin coating which seems to come off very easily, like the way skin peels after sun-burn. A little flap of the plastic skin makes for a very audible "fizz" as the ball flies away.
