Andy's chances at the US Open tennis...

This is the one the pundits say he is best equipped to win...

He'll need to play better than he did yesterday... But this does seem to be a feature of his game... Gets better as the tournament goes along...

All depends on Novak for me, he seems to up it in the Slams. That said if Murray can find the form and grit he had at the Olympics then he'll never have a better chance.

This is as good a chance as he will have, no Federer and no Nadal...however, Novak and Del Potro could pose a problem. I think Novak will edge it if it comes to a final between them

I like his chances, but will continue my 'good luck' superstition by not watching any of it!

Forget the fact that Nadal and Federer are out - so Murray doesn't have to face them. They didn't make it through to the semi of a Slam, while Murray has - yet again!

Bon chance! Oops, wrong slam (he's never going to win the French! Hang in there! I back him against Berdych (though he could get blasted off the court!). Final may still be a struggle of belief - specially if against Djokovic (who plays the 'also dangerous' Del Potro in quarter)

Murray totally destroyed Raonic in Round 4, played great. Started poorly against an on-form Cilic and was a set and 1-3 down in the second when I left it. Woke up today to find that he had turned in around in style, going to zap through the match tonight.

Berdych will not be easy, powerful and efficient player. Andy will need his A game. Djokovic has been out of form a bit recently but is one tough B when it comes to the Slams. He should beat Del Porto but remember Dp won the US Open a few years ago and is now regaining fitness and form after a long injury battle.

The easy predicition would be to go with rankings and say Djokovic to beat Murray in the final but I'll be rooting for the Olympic champion every step of the way.

I think Novak istrying to get up for the Majors only, very hard to do and when he had most success he was winning everything not picking and choosing. I think if Murray gets off to a good start (assuming Novak is opponent) then he has a good chance to pick up his first slam.
