Just a few putts for me and good few swings of my driver then i'm warmed up.

I do like to get to the starter about 30 mins before my tee time just to get me card and set for a dreadful round.

I NEVER leave the green untill I make 5 x 5 footers.

Crumbs I'd never start a round!

For me it's a few swings with a club or two to stretch my shoulders and work the wrists a little, then hit about 10 putts and off to the first tee.

I agree hitting balls on the range before a round just doesn't help me at all.

I'd love to warm up properly. Stretch? For Golf? I wouldn't know where to start!
Ideally go through the bag, pitch shots, Chipping, Putting, but in reality most clubs have "No Chipping" signs all over any sort of practice area, and a net if your lucky.
Best place I've been to was this week at Conwy. 2 large chipping / bunker greens, 2 putting greens, a large practice area and nets. Hit the ball great in practice and then hit 2 OOB down the right of the 1st, got back to 15 points after 9 with 20 to 30 mph winds, but blobbed the next 4. The jury is still out for me, but I'd do it again if I get the chance.

A bacon roll and a check that I've got only 14 clubs in the bag. Funnily enough, I often start quite poorly (e.g. Goswick).

For big comps I used to hit some balls at the range and spend some time on the putting green. This only got me more nervous if the ball wasn't going where it was meant to so I stopped all that mallarky and went out with a cheery smile and a hopeful heart instead. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Recent example was the office outing which I won where I hit 20 practice balls (all mega-poorly) before my round. Very unusual, but was just killing time as I was last out. Total lack of confidence on the first tee resulted in a 42 pointer on the day. There's no rhyme nor reason to it!

I'll turn up at Letham Grange for the next Forum outing having not hit a ball in a month probably and could shoot anywhere between 75 and 95. Hopefully the former.
