How do you find out..?

We get an e-mail whenever the status is updated on the website. At least that's what happened the only time the status has changed since I joined.
There is also a course information line you can ring.

So rarely closed apart from snow that I don't bother checking. I always carry, but not sure we have had a trolley ban since I have been a member. A huge amount of drainage work has been done over the last fifteen years, and there are very few holes that don't have drainage ditches, though the majority don't come into play. Being a heathland couse helps as well.;)

Not good, only find out when you get there on the day. Doesn't get put on the website or posted on the FB page.

Course status is on the website, we received an email Saturday afternoon, when they made the decision to close it Sunday.

My club's website is still showing course information for 26th December, when the course was still fully open. Now only has 11 holes open, so none out of ten for that. I have been checking other local clubs' websites, and most of them are no better! :(

We have a course status banner on home page of web site - updated daily at greenkeeper o'clock in the morning. Used to get an email as well but they've just stopped that. Can ring the pro-shop too.

Email from the manager. Raised the issue of social media updates to get the response that half of the members would not even know what Facebook and Twitter were

We're pretty good at ours.

We have an email sent out every morning around 7.00 starting around about mid-October then right through to Spring.

Tells course status open or closed then situation on trolley / buggy bans and if bunkers are in or out of play etc. In the event of 'freak' weather in the playing season then an email can come any time the course status changes across the day, same in Winter if we're open to start but then subsequently have to close or if we open again after an early closure, say for fog or water-logging and so on.
