How do you choose your glove and why?

I had a Cabretta glove, but I didn't like it.. to me it felt slippery.

Mizuno bioflex for me currently, great fit, gives good grip and doesn't make my hand too warm unlike some others.

Honestly, glove brand and type does not worry me. I have no real preference and tend to buy what is on offer. Used Mizuno Bioflex quite a bit as I can often find them for about 4 quid. Used Inesis ones when I can get to Decathlon and even Confidence gloves from the Sports HQ. The only ones I have used and disliked are the cheapest Dunlop ones as they feel a bit rubbery

Pick mine on fit more than anything. I need a small small one. Then thickness comes into it like it to feel like a second skin. As long as the Palm is leather not to worried about the back.

Prob my dodgy grip but cabretta style and soft gloves don't last me an hour before starting to wear and always on index finger first

I use all weather (usually Callaway's) and they last a dozen rounds easy before wearing on index finger

I think i need to have a professional fitting. I do like the feel of the carbretta leather as the gloves seem to be thinner, I have small girls hands so a nice thin glove for me, dont care about the brand. Recently I have had the old RBZ ones which are leather palm, synthetic "upper" and these have been great. need a new one, might treat my self to trying a few on!

I think gloves can be very over priced.

I've been using the Dunlop range recently and cant see that much of a difference between them and say the bigger named £7-11 range if I'm honest.

I'm picking up 4 gloves for a tenner online (including postage) so at that price I can put a new one into play at the first sign of wear (normally see 4-6 games without issue) were as with the more expensive range I found I was trying to stretch the lifespan out until the glove was almost falling off. Granted there are better quality gloves on offer but I find they do the job and I can put a new glove on every month without it costing silly money.

I buy gloves based on durability. I tend to stick to the Footjoy weathersof as they are comfortable and last.
I bought 3 TaylorMade gloves not too long ago. They didn't even make it off the range as they had holes in after 75 balls... I'll never buy them again.
It could be how I grip the club but I had 3 weathersof gloves that lasted the whole of last years golf season.

I was a FJ weathersof man or a Srixon Cabretta. But recently I've been using a glove by Callaway called Dawn patrol. (Stupid name).
By far the best feeling glove I've worn too, it has the tour style velcro too which is a nice touch.
I'm another peep with small hands so finding a well fitting glove can be a task. The Small in the Callaway glove, is the best fit of all.
