Good Morning,

I played in a centenary trophy last Sunday and scored a nett 72, I am a 12 handicapper, this should have placed me 3rd in my division. However, I received an email from how did I do today, and this placed me 32nd below the players who were DSQ? There were no comments or reasoning behind this given! Has anyone else experienced such things? And any reasons as to why this may have happened?

Do you have a competitive handicap, i.e. did you submit 3 or more qualifying scores last year? If your handicap is not a competitive one, you could be 'ineligible' and therefore this will count as a score towards resurrecting your handicap.

I don't think I have submitted 3 cards in a year no, so with another round in guessing my handicapp will be resurrected as I have played the last two weeks competitively?

Also HDID is only a portal that all information your club inputs is then displayed, if your Pro controls that have a word with him and he'll bring you up to speed.

My other question is, did you pay to go into a competition you weren't allowed to win due to an inactive handicap?

If it's a trophy event and therefore one overall winner it often puts players in order and doesn't split into divisions as it would for a medal or stableford. Was there a separate prize per handicap section or just the Centenary Trophy? If the latter that would be the answer
