Homer - JustOne's Ultimate Challenge!

Possibly its the clumsy way you have gone about it as the challenge per se with consenting individuals could be interesting, key word though is consenting.

Indeed.

I'd help Homer if he approached me to, but don't see it as part of a 'challenge'. Homer plays off 12 h/cap so I'm sure there are others who are more 'in need' of advice rather than singling Homer out.

I appreciate the sentiment of the thread (so no probs Foxy ) that YES it would be something interesting to see, but I have nothing to prove, and to that end.. neither does Homer.

To be honest I would be up for it but I have some changes I want to work on first. My 2013 season hasn't been great but there were a lot of changes from last winter to take out. Ball striking I'm happy with but just need to cut out the bad shots. I am getting there and the short game work 'm about to do will help. That all said and done, I wouldn't mind given it a go at some point over the winter just to see if an intensive one on one session with James could give me something more in the swing. My early extension would be the one thing I'd like to eliminate.

I don't think there's anything disrespectful towards Homer in this thread and i certainly don't see it as poking fun at Homer.

Homer is the most committed amateur golfer that i know and as i read his blog's often it is obvious he has swing faults and/or demons in his mind.

I mentioned in another thread that seeing justone may just add that missing link to his game after seeing the results of jimboo etc.

As big a challenge would be teaching me lag!

The Pump Drill is the traditional one.

It's not so much a case of teaching you lag as teaching you not to lose it, either by casting or releasing it early.

Here's a more techy blurb. http://perfectgolfswingreview.net/casting.htm Note that he doesn't advocate 'artificially stiffineng....', just getting the timing right - which is what that pump drill attempts to ingrain.
