Has anyone been to the Maldives between April and July? Is it a good time to go and, if so, what hotels to recommend?

Many thanks

We went to the Maldives in sept and stayed at Kuredu. It is one of the larger islands with a driving range and pitch and putt course 😁👍. Anyway, if I was to choose an island again, it would be a larger island. You will get cabin fever. We loved it. Weather was fine but when it rains, God almighty. 20 mins later it's gorgeous.

What is a must is transfer by seaplane, sod sitting in a Somalian pirate Boat for a three hour transfer. The seaplanes are brilliant fun. Check out Kuredu. They have a forum for the island. We did a week there, week before we did Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was brilliant. I think two weeks on an island could of done me head in. One other thing. Look at going all inclusive. It can be very very expensive.

You will struggle to find a larger Island in the Maldives than Kuredu, Tashy.
Most are a fraction the size of Kuredu.

April you should still be ok weather wise mate

December to March is high season, we always used to go every Jan - weather was fantastic.

After April, the monsoon rains start and go through to September / October.

Its still very warm in the rainy season and it can pass quite quickly at times.

Been twice to Meedhupparu island. It is absolute paradise, and one of the more affordable. I haven't been at that time, as both times were March. April you will almost certainly be OK, may get's a bit of rain, but normally in the evening. June and July I probably wouldn't bother with

Same as Tashy here.....my wife and I stayed on Kuredu for 2 weeks at the end of July. We stayed in a sea view Jacuzzi beach hut at the end of the island.

Absolutely loved it, only thing I didnt like was the night time walk along the beach or beach paths as those massive crabs scared the bejeezus out of me.
