Hole in One - Why are some luckier than others??

Oh I forgot. I have holed out from about 150yds on the same par 5 twice so I tend to count those as counting!

In that case I am counting every putt I ever made :clap:

Mine was the exact same! 1st at my club is a par 3 and I hit a lovely 8-iron that landed around 6 ft short and shortly after disappeared. Then promptly hit my drive out of bounds on the next to give the shots straight back! Hit the hole in 1 with a "Killer Whale" golf ball which (As a 14yr old) immediately made me think these balls were brilliant - I don't think it was too long before I discovered the ball didn't have anything to do with it.

I've played with a few guys when they've had a hole in 1 but the luckiest was a 165+yd par 3 that was uphill with the level of the green at least 50ft higher than the tee and you couldn't see the bottom of the pin. The guy thinned a 5 iron that smacked into the face of the hill and ended up in the direction of the green. We looked around for his ball assuming it had jumped the green and then he decided to check the hole. Never seen anything as lucky on a golf course
