Hole in One Virgins

I've reached 1st Base - if you catch my drift....:mmm:

Had a H-I-1 but there was nobody else on the course to verify it so not really had one officially...

If you only hit one ball into the green from behind the mens marker then it counts. If it was your 5th ball into the green then technically it's a no.

At my new club there's a board for people who've had them in 'casual' rounds although I'd assume they'd need a witness. There's also the more official board for the comps ones.

I'm not a virgin, and I've stayed faithful to the same one since 1994

Had my one and only one many years ago. Despite going on numerous golf holidays with friends, and playing thousands and thousands of games over the years I've never witnessed one of my playing partners have one.

Never had one myself. Have been with 2 players who have though. I hope I don't go as crazy as they did. They set off like they had liquid nitrogen pured on thier bits! I hope to pull off the slightly embarrassed look that the shot I played would actually warrant being as bad as I am.

yep my hymen is still well and truely intact on this one.

i've been playing for a full 5 yrs(1996,1997,1998,1999,2011) and i'm still waiting.i've holed out from distance for a few eagles with the furthest out being about 125 yrds so surely its going to happen.

i have hit a golf ball roughly 230 yrds in to someones pocket,i covered the story previous on here but the old guy ended up with the biggest bruise ever on his leg and he didn't even realise it was in his pocket.myself and his playign buddy spent 5 mins trying to find my ball before he realised it was in there.

Had 3. The first one was a slam dunker. Broke the flag and went through the bottom of the hole.

Thing is, the last was in 1998 - so I am well overdue another............

Still a virgin... Been playing on and off for 4 years and never even seen one. I have holed from 200+ on a par 5 though. The 2 old boys who saw it go in went mental....

Similar, playing on my own after a comp was witnessed by other player on next tee. Did not count.

If it's been witnessed, even by another player, greenkeeper etc then it counts in my book.
I was the only person on the whole course at the time...

I had one after 6 months of playing

I nearly had my second last weekend playing in freezing conditions.

1 bounce, hit the flag stopped here:

Tap in for a 2 :whoo:

P.S Check out the frozen flag pole

I have been a Cat 1 golfer for about 25 years and have never had a hole in one. The closest I have ever been was the 7th hole at Hillside GC. I hit a beautiful shot and when we got to the green, my ball was at the back of the hole on the lip with the pitch mark about a foot in front of the pin. I have no idea how it didn't drop.

That said, I have holed 5-7 ish shots from the fairway with short irons, most recently last summer, when I eagled the 18th at West Hill GC with a lovely 8 iron that flew in!

I have also had an albatross on the 7th hole at Hallowes GC in Derbyshire.

None of this makes up for the fact that a hole in one still eludes me.

I witnessed one a couple of Saturdays ago but never had one myself.

I've never even holed out with anything more than a chip on any hole!

Exactly the same for me.

A mate got one a few weeks back.

Come fairly close a couple of times but, like region, never holed out from the fairway either :(

Playing for 30 years - never had a hole in one.

I have holed out full shots with most clubs from wedges to 6 irons at par 4s and 5s, and had tee shots on par 3s that hit the pin. hot the side of the hole or ended up 1 foot right past the flag, but never a hole in one.

Doesn't bother me. It is a good shot to hit it close to the flag, but there is an element of luck in whether it falls in the hole or not.
