Hit the ball today, first time in 15 years.....

Well I took my new kit down the driving range today and hit 50 balls, hooked about 90% of them, got my first lesson next week, a bloke next to me advised me to change my grip and try to get my swing in one smooth motion, he said I pause on the top part of my swing, roll on lesson time.....
Still I do like my new clubs......

Welcome back into the magical world of golf. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about technique until the lesson next week. Get the feeling of club on ball and try and focus on a smooth tempo rather than anything swing related. I'm sure the pro will sort the grip out for you
