Hillside update

Just heard back from West Lancs - ladies day on the Tuesday so sadly they cant fit us in before 2pm which woudl obviously be too late

is there still an appetite to play on the Tuesday and if so what would the target price be so I know who to think about approaching?

Mike, The obvious candidate , albeit a tad expensive, would be Formby (Formby GC, Not Formby Hall).

Alternatively, Hesketh or Southport and Ainsdale are just up the road, and there would be plenty of accomodation in Southport.

A bit further afield you have Wallasey and Caldy which are great tracks also.

Just had a quick scout round some of the suggestions and the prices for a round. Can feel a tightening of the chest and finding it hard to breathe whilst looking at some of those prices

A bit further afield you have Wallasey £80 and Caldy £60 But both of them are going further afield into the Wirral

I agree DCB, was hoping GM could flex their muscles and negotiate a good deal

Alternatively, Ormskirk (£45) and Haydock Park (£32) are great courses and fairly close.

I was waiting to see if there was any other organised trips either side of the Hillside, but a heavily discounted round is available at our place on the Sunday about 3.00/4.00 if anyone fancies it.

So this is the day before the Mega meet and the day after?
Sunday 2nd at Leepark with Liverbirdie, Monday at Hillside and Tuesday at Formby or whereever.
Need to book the room at Pontins then.

After 4 with a member is £10 or £15, I think (if we can get it in). Before 4 may be £25 with a member. if we can get 6 guests, I may have a word with the manager to try to do a slightly cheaper deal. I've got 5-6 mates who are also members so should be ok for numbers to sign on for 6, or possibly more, if required.

It will hopefully save you some money for a better/more expensive round on the Tuesday.

I'm playing Formby on 1st April, so can give a heads up for there.
