Hillside Blackball Gerrard

Instead everyone knows what muppets the club's committee are

I just don't see why they've done it. I mean, it's not as if he was the captain of his clubs for years. Or captain of his country... oh hold on.

Surely this will bring more adverse publicity to the club rather than having him as a member.

I think it was a stipulation of Peter's when he just joined, the demands of a true bitter 😂😂

From The Mirror via a report in The Sun, take it with a pinch of salt.

I think there was a similar Footballer type incident at Birkdale a while Back and I'm sure this kind of thing goes on at most of the Top Clubs.
Im not saying its right or Wrong and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get into Hillside or Birkdale due to me getting my hands dirty for a living.
Its their Private Club though and their Rules.

Maybe they didn't want some scrote criminal who dodged a 24mth sentence that any normal person would of got for ABH joining there nice club?

I think its good that famous people with a criminal record are being treated the same as Joe Bloggs with a criminal record. It doesn't happen often enough IMO

Agreed. A club like that wouldn't let just anyone join. They have their admissions criteria and if someone, anyone, doesn't meet them then they don't join - end of story
The only problem is the adverse publicity it generates for Golf.

I agree also, what's good for us mere mortals at the bottom of the food chain is good for them also, just because of wealth or celebrity status should not mean anyone gets any preferential treatment.

I think it shows good housekeeping and equal rights and opportunities towards everyone, well done to them I say.

Does he have a criminal record ?

I recall him being found not guilty

This was back in the late 70's early 80's where you had to be of a certain profession to be considered. All Footballers didn't meet their criteria.

Seeing where the story comes from, I'll bet my last £ it's not true.
