Well i played this morning, temperature was bloody cold, course was ok tho, some holes were pretty wet, others had drained pretty well I wud say. Played better than expected but wheels were badly coming off towards the end.

Had some luck with a chip in eagle on the 5th, which is nice cos my shortgame is horrible normally.

Drove the ball horribly all day, felt like a spent all my life in the left hand ruff. ALso not as long! haha which u guys said would happen. Hit a few good ones but the majority were average at best

Had some decent birdies tho and picked up shots on all the par fives. I normaly make my score on these with my length but they werent particularly long, therefore not making a 4 wud have really been a disappointment.

+3 gross end, im happy with it even tho it is 2 over my handicap but conditions were not the best.

Picked up some gud advice and tips, enjoyed myself and had them tell me all the way round that i cast the club badly and that if i could actually maintain the proper lag in my downswing id hit it further and crisper.

Hav a look guys and pass some comments. Ive been honest and yes there were 3 winter greens so my score may have been different but hey its january! My driving distances where done by my mate and i recorded them down.

It's a nice score, but as you say, your average drive is way down, despite some impressive ones.

yep, cudnt get it away today. Ripped the first one then gash from there on, had the hooks, everything felt weak and out the toe

Nope, not sarcasm dude. Seriously impressive scoring considering you thought you drove it poorly :)

thank you

Doesnt matter how long or how short you thought you were, your accuracy was not good,i can only imagine if you hit it longer you would be wilder, good score though and thats what counts.

pokerjoke, yer im not the straightest i will admit but im not normally this bad. I need to really sort it out im far to handsy with the driver making it so inconsistant. If it hadnt been for a lucky chip in my score wud have been a true reflection i think

As the saying goes there are plenty of long hitters in the woods. You clearly hit the ball a decent distance anyway so if you tend to spray it with the driver even on a better ball striking day surely you can afford to lose a few yards and find 90% of the fairways to give you a better chance of knocking it close from the short grass

As others have said, good scoring considering your driving wasn't the straightest.

What driver were you using, and are you going to change it based on your tests on the launch monitor?

yer i half agree and half not. On bad days yes but on gud days the distance i get allows me to attack everything with short iron approaches. I can always rely on the par 5's as bankers usually, even from the ruff.

consistency is what i lack and im loosing patients trying to get it on my own i think i need a lesson

im using the TM 510TP 8.5 . Im changing it cos its old, and yes the results from the prev tests were promising!
