Just a quick one to introduce myself.

I've been browsing these forums without posting for a while and have picked up a lot of good info.

Thought i'd say hello before hitting you all with question after question.

I'm from Glasgow, have a handicap of 17 and have a terrible tendency to drop my left knee and hit it fat.

Bobmac's your man for swing info but my tip is try to keep your legs as still as possible and turn at the hips - not the knees. If you turn from the hips then the legs will follow naturally.

hi m8,and welcome! easy fix for your prob. look up something called the "o" factor online, really all you have to do is try and feel as if you are turning with your left him going "up".

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I gather you drop your left knee on your backswing?
If this is the case, try practicing with half wedges/9/8s with your feet together.
That way, you should get the feeling of keeping your height throughout the whole swing.

I do drop my leg in the backswing, the feet together practice sounds good. Trying the o factor in my living room the now (mindin the light). I'll give those tips a bash at the weekend.

I used to be a member at Cathkin Braes GC until recently. Great course and club but it is a little out my price league since recently finishing as a student.

I read a post recently about some clubs north of the city (some i havn't played and look great) as i'm looking to join a new club soon.

Good to see some fellow weegies.
