Well winter must be here. We've been informed that from 2nd November all trolleys must have these hedgehog/hoppa wheel surrounds on to protect the course during wet ground conditions.
Wet ground? Who are they kidding?
We've had about 1/2 inch of rain in the last 3 months and the fairways are still running like summer!!
They expect me to pay £15+ to strap some plastic round my wheels to protect a bone-hard course!
Now I wouldn't mind if it was wet - fair deal to keep the course in good nick - but at least wait until it IS wet.
Could be time to get the carry bag down from the loft - or maybe buy a new one.....

Typical British way of thinking...lets prepare for the worst. If we make everyone buy hedgehog wheels and it rains great! if it doesn't well at least we were ready if it did. We are turning into the biggest set of panickers on the planet. Im sure if a newsreader said Boo! we'd all jump.

sorry but you are not willing to buy these hedgehog things but are on buying a new carry bag??
Carry bag's been in the loft since March - don't know how many holes it has in it.
Anyway, I can justify a new bag if the old one is getting tired. And I know its only 20 quid but its the principle as much as anything else - if its that wet then ban trolleys altogether!

I'm still trying to find out if go-kart plan to release some hedgehog wheels. Apparently I've heard that the standard ones you can buy don't fit particularly well and need to be tied on with plastic clips. If so then I'll probably just carry in the winter. Anyone know about this?
