Well only the Champions league England V Scotland clashes ever get mentioned as the battle of Britain.

Looking forward to it.

BTW if any Hearts fans can sort me a ticket, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Tynecastle only holds about 18,000. Four or five years ago they played a number of games there for European matches, so a precedent has been set, it all depends on how much money they think can be generated from the tie and whether giving up 'home' advantage will be worth it.

Good that they are playing it at Swinecastle.

Hope my Old Man can source me a ticket as I would love to go to it especially as the home leg will mean something unlike the 2nd leg no doubt.

I'll be really surprised if Liverpool don't win on aggregate in double figures. Scottish fitbaw is at rock bottom.

Hearts got 59,000 at Murrayfield when the played Barcelona a few years ago.

Hope we get a better home result than last years game with Spurs.
I would settle for the same away result as we were the only team last season to keep Spurs from scoring at WHL.

Liverpool have finally got a decent manager so I expect them to do well this season.

I think Liverpool will have another mediocre season as Rogers tries to get rid of the dead wood from Dalgleish, Hodgson etc. I think there is a nucleus of a decent side and a top 8 and maybe a cup run. They may even target the Europa league as the fans think Europe is some kind of holy grail.

No idea how good Hearts are and what level they are at based on the competition they play each week. I think it would be a tight affair at Tynecastle but would think Liverpool will be too strong at home

Think Hearts will give Liverpool a good wee run for their money. Dont think it will be as easy as some think. England v Scotland clashes in Europe are always interesting and Celtic and Rangers have beaten various English sides in the past in Europe. Hearts will be up for it at Tynecastle, but still would expect Liverpool to go through.

From memory I can only remember Liverpool going out to Scottish opposition once in 47 years (to a John Hartson inspired Celtic, when they got to the final in Seville).

I'm not gonna shout the odds, but I was impressed last night, albeit Belorussian's finest is not an ideal benchmark at this stage.

I think there will be one goal in it, after the first leg, but Liverpool to go through. I think the Tynecastle atmosphere will be electric though, hope I'm there.

Not too sure how you can class him a decent manager but an improvement on last years results is a must.

I'm glad we've drawn Hearts, I'm sure a full house against Liverpool will boost their coffers.

Got my ticket for the Hearts end at Anfield sorted out, ya beauty!!!

Offer - After checking with the missus(for her ticket), I can offer any Hearts or Liverpool fan a ticket for the Anfield game in exchange for a ticket at the Hearts home game.

Any takers, or any help with a ticket for the Hearts away game,if so PM me? Genuine offer.

Comfortable win for Liverpool. Hearts are a poor side and weakened from last season.

Won't be double figures though - it's not like it's one of the EPL's top teams!
