I've been playing golf for about 4 years and currently playing off 8handicap.

I have lessons on and off and play almost every weekend.

I've been toying with the idea of attending a golf camp or golf weekend where you get training for the whole weekend including range balls, coaching, rounds of golf etc and these are in the region of £350 - 900 depending on location, number of hours, courses, etc etc.

Does anyone have any experience in these in the fact will they improve my game enough to warrent the money.

If i could have your opinions or even your experiences of having gone to this kind of thing let me know - even if you run one of these golf schools please contact me as I feel it's something i'm quite interested in.

thanks in advance,

This one time at golf camp...
Then this one time at golf camp

Sorry but the Band camp girl instantly entered my mind when i saw GolfCamp, because this one time at Golf camp...

I went to a thing in the USA
it was funded by the universities, they invited young golfers over for a week to basically assess us before making college offers, there was a little coaching and a week where all you think about is golf and have coaches around is pretty great.

But it was not an actual golf camp as such.

Cannot fail to improve you i would think, assuming the coaches do not suck

Not been on one. Often contemplated it but worried about information overload and too many changes in too short a space of time. I prefer a lesson, go away and work on the drills and the changes and to it piece by piece.

Not been to one but know a husband and wife pair that have done a few. They say it was more of a social get-together. I guess if you fancy it, choose wisely. Some look to have a good curriculum, whilst others are a bit of golf with drinks thrown in...
