Harrington tees off in front of tee box????

loved his comment - "if i tee'd off from there then I'm a blind man"

surely they can sort this by tv pretty quickly but if he was in front there must have been plenty who noticed at the time
 
it was a spectator at the course apparantly according to sky.

from the screen shots it looks dodgy as to whether it was in front of the markers

I would have thought someone would have said something at the time if he was ahead of the tee. I mean there are caddies, players, referees.....someone would have seen it.

Close shave though after a decent round.

very dodgy, but given the amount of shite padraig has put up with recently I think the 'inconclusive' stance is the right one.

Is golf one of the only sports where a viewer can interfere with the game. You dont see this happen in football, the referees decision is final and all that
 
Its ok agreeing with the viewer craw , european tour gota stamp it out now tho or it will ruin the game coz there are too many idiots out there ..ya not think?

Agreed Craw , it did , but like most of golf its down to the players word , do you believe padraig knew it moved & cheated ?/? do you realy believe it should be open to HD slow mo frame by frame arm chair refereeing . if so do the early players who dont feature on alota tv coverage have unfair advantage & do we slow mo every shot some spectator questions ?/ surely the fair way is to leave it to the players & on course officials
 
I wouldn't dream of calling anyone a cheat.

However if there is an infringement then the authorities have to act. I actually quite like the fact that golf is prepared to use TV evidence. It shows a willingness and forward thinking attitude to upholding the laws and getting decisions correct.

If only the same attitude was shown to technology in football the sport would be a better more honest spectacle.

no agreed.. but a spectator in rubgy or golf cant ask for a decision to be reviewed, i think golf is unique in its honesty of its players & thats what makes it so good
