As many of you will remember I was due to go to Carton House in Dublin with Murph, Hawkeye and RickG in the summer to meet Padraig Harrington and try the new FJ XPS-1 shoes but my mother was taken ill and I couldn't make it. I had a call from Pardraig which cheered me up no end and thought no more of it. I enjoyed the write up in last months mag and that was that.
Naturally I assumed that I would have forefeited the free pair of XPS-1 shoes given to the prize winners so imagine my shock to turn come home tonight to find a pair had been delivered. What a great gesture by FJ in particular who had no compunction to do anything for me at all. Many thanks to them and GM for setting up the opportunity in the first place.
These aren't on general sale yet and will be approx £199 and so it is a great prize. As I never got to test them in Dublin I have to say I'm surprised just how stable the make you as you swing and the wider base really doesn't look out of place or out of character with the shoe. Sitting here with a soppy grin on my face looking at these shiny babies.
