Handsfree kit

Well done for getting one.

Can't believe so many expensive car users risk others and themselves for the sake of much less than their insurance excess!

I've got a parrot 9100, then mrs has a 9200 - would recommend either, great bits of kit. Not only for handsfree but also for using your ipod in your car. Think the 9100 is just over £100 on eBay however you may need help fitting it and it may require extra cables to attach it to the stereo and speakers depending on the cars make/model etc..

Most expensive cars come with bluetooth integration these days which makes that even more astounding.
I have an A Class and the MB Bluetooth connection is fantastic, driving to work yesterday I see a guy in a nice saloon phone to his ear swerving about across the motorway... the car, a C Class higher spec than my A.

Anyhoo, well done OP for a responsible decision and can echo the Parrot recommendations, had one in my Alpha the 9100 and it was superb.

agreed.

Yesterday, M8 going to Edinburgh, saw guy in Range Rover (NEW Model) driving blatantly with huge phone to ear, oblivious to anyone or anything around him.........merchant banker!

I rarely answer my phone when driving, even though I've got Bluetooth. Strangely, I never let it go unanswered way back when I never had any hands free. Go figure!

If you have a Merc with the hands free wiring then the ViseoO bluetooth adaptor is very good. It works with any Bluetooth compatible phone.

Not sure what you mean. All new Mercs have the MB Bluetooth built in to the console and will connect to any bluetooth device, not just phones.
Don't think many these days come with 'wiring' rather than full integration.

On a side note I love the fact I can stream Spotify from my phone through the audio system via the bluetooth as well, if a call comes in while it is playing it auto pauses it and resumes once the call is done. I love my Merc :D

Maybe the new models have moved on a bit. Mercs used to have a sender box in the arm rest that only worked with a particular phone type, you had to change it if you changed your phone. The ViseeO plug in box works with any phone.

Ah I see, no its all built in bluetooth to the centre console as standard now. You can get an upgrade called COMMAND that lets you use direct web based services like LastFM and Spotify as its mobile data enabled pretty cool stuff.
